Ted Givens, Design Partner of 10 DESIGN, says, "10 DESIGN recently initiated and organized an open international design competition with an aim to further expand a dialog about green thinking along the Suzhou Creek in Shanghai and most importantly to implement new ideas. 10 DESIGN created this open platform for architectural professionals, academics, students and artists to share their visionary sustainable designs under one roof for the chosen site."

The competition was very well received and 10 DESIGN collected 200 submission entries across 40 countries around the world. An international jury composed of magazine editors, educators, and design professionals selected the top three winners and ten shortlisted entries. The winning entries profoundly demonstrated concepts that move beyond the ordinary and address issues such as power generation, cleaning air and water pollution, and the use of innovative materials and geometries.

10 DESIGN have just celebrated with the winners and shortlisted participants at an award ceremony held on 25th May 2012 at Bridge 8 in Shanghai.
