10 Design has won the international design competitions for three separate projects in the Jinwan Aviation City of Zhuhai, where aviation is under a period of unprecedented growth.

The construction of the Hong Kong – Zhuhai – Macau Bridge will be completed by the end of 2016. Zhuhai (the only city which will connect Hong Kong and Macau) has become significantly prominent within the Pearl Delta region.

he China Government has gazetted the Jinwan Aviation City as part of an overall plan to further boost Zhuhais economy whereby staging aviation as a major industry in the city and creating an associated diverse business hub within the city.

The three Jinwan Aviation projects by 10 Design will play a critical role in forming the anchor buildings within the business hub: an International Commerce Centre (a twin tower for 127,000sqm of office, hotel & serviced apartment accommodation), an Industrial Service Centre (55,000sqm incubation platform for innovative start-up companies and entrepreneurs), and a Cultural Centre (27,500sqm civic facilities for performance, conference & exhibition, museum, cinema and retail spaces).
10 Design is pleased to compete with JAHN LLC and Valode Et Pistre Architectes, amongst others. Led by Nick Cordingley and Gordon Affleck (Design Partners at 10 Design), the competition design is progressing to detail design.  The Jinwan Aviation City will be constructed by 2019.
