Last week Chris Jones was joined by Kat Hanna of Lendlease, Nalin Seneviratne of Sheffield City Council, Nick Cox of Gardiner & Theobald and Zoe Green of PwC to talk repurposing UK real estate at Bisnow's digital summit.

“There’s this pent up demand to actually have... individual control of your workspace, and whether that be to do with how you partition off an office floor, how adaptive and responsive and flexible the communal spaces are... thinking how everyone has benefited from investment is really important... so this notion of mixed-use is key... these spaces have to support and sustain and endure a lot of different multiple programmes throughout the working week and throughout the weekend” commented Chris.

“The idea that you would design a large piece of real estate primarily just for one kind of group of people to occupy... it seems kind of unthinkable [now]... that linear pattern that we maybe thought was the case a few years ago – that’s changing a lot” added Kat.
