China Resources Hangzhou Liangzhu Mixed-Use

Hangzhou, China
CR Land’s Liangzhu Mixed-Use Complex in Hangzhou, China has recently celebrated the milestone of structural completion for the 285m office tower and the 160,000sqm retail mall, both led by 10 Design (part of Egis Group).

Located in Liangzhu New Town in Hangzhou, the development is immediately adjacent to two metro lines and a vast public park to its north. The tower will stand as a highest beacon in the area, enjoying unobstructed views towards the urban green space and the city skyline afar.

The tower design is a celebration of simplicity and verticality. Derived from the form of soaring mountain peaks, the tower design also symbolises the robust momentum of growth and infinite opportunities for Hangzhou.
The concept is reinforced by the retail design. Mimicking natural gemstones protruding from a rock bed, a series of sculpted glass boxes are embedded alone the retail volume, forming a rhythmic façade in juxtaposition with the prevalent stone claddings. The design also creates additional terraces and open space along the inner retail street, generating opportunities for al fresco dining and public engagement.
Upon its completion in 2023, CR Land Liangzhu Mixed-Use Complex will become a “live-work-shop” activity centre where round-the-clock programmes will be offered to serve the office workers, shoppers and the residential communities nearby.
