Cruise Terminal and mixed use Development

Southern China
In conjunction with the surrounding seascape and unique resources of the site the design proposes to create four core areas: transportation hub, residence amenity area, central business district, marine sports culture area, and additionally the creation of the waterfront public leisure area.

The design takes inspiration from the unique relationship of the city, its coastline and its status as the Garden City reconnecting both the port and the city with the waterfront. By utilising our experience of designing and reusing urban quay edges we create a more intimate and romantic relationship with the water and turn the place into one that users can truly interact with the water.

The masterplan creates an active waterfront with 3 focal points - the cruise terminal, the new retail mall, and the signature mixed use tower, all with direct access to the waterfront and the public park which links back to the southern coastal area.
