Located along the prominent waterfront on Zhuhai's Hengqin Financial Island, Huafa International Commercial Centre (plot 17) is a mixed use development, comprising offices, a waterside retail podium, and residential apartments.

Nature was our primary inspiration for the design of the new Huafa ICC. The linear site located along the waterfront allows for a dynamic interplay between the natural and urban edge. We see the tower facades floating above a series of fluid retail pavilions. The buildings take on the ephemeral and more delicate proportions of fan coral. The facades utilize a simple set of vertical fins to achieve this effect. The whole composition can be seen as landscape painting floating above the river.
