Swire Properties together with 10 Design (part of Egis Group) celebrated the official opening of its VIP Lounge at Art Basel Hong Kong earlier this week!

Titled ‘CHROMATIC REFLECTIONS’, the design of the lounge was led by Michael Grimshaw and Jason Easter, Principals at 10 Design. Inspired by Swire Properties’ rich history, the design team interprets evolution as a collection of sequential moments defined by the causative relationship between Reflection, Perspective and Transformation. The installation captures these moments in a rhythmic field of prismatic totems portraying a history of growth and progress in a celebration of light and colour. Luminous pillars of coloured glass and mirror project gradient hues of light from red to blue, reflecting Swire Properties’ brand heritage and the creative spirit and influence in art, culture and placemaking.

The artistic installation is also designed to host the Swire Properties’ Dialogue Series live talks throughout the art show. Michael will speak at one of the panel sessions – The Interplay between Art and Architecture - on 23 March at 4pm!
