MIRIAM AUYEUNG
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Miriam Auyeung is Chief Operating Officer with 10 Design and has over 21 years of professional experience. Prior to 10 Design, Miriam was Director for one of the world's prominent architectural practices.

Previously working as Project Manager for landmark civic buildings such as the China National Convention Center in Beijng and large scale infrastructure projects for MTRC and KCRC then in Hong Kong.

Miriam is also familiar with statutory submission requirements and procedures of China projects, including preparation of schematic design and preliminary design documentation, being able to make necessary arrangements for good coordination, liaison and negotiations prior to obtaining official approvals of submissions from government authorities.

Her project portfolio across a wide spectrum enables her to effectively handle daily project administrations and coordination with consultant team, schedule works for design staff, conduct programme control of design and project management, undertake necessary planning, and monitoring of project progress and budget estimate.

Miriam's extensive professional qualifications in Asia (AP, HKIA, PRC Class 1 RA and PRC Green Building Label Manager) have provided her with significant expertise in client liaison, design and project management of highly complex projects.

ROSS MILNE

With over 28 years of experience in Asia, Ross Milne has a deep understanding of what it takes to deliver a quality project and strides to encourage innovative solutions to challenges posed by tight programmes and budgetary constraints using the latest available construction technology.

Ross' role as Chief Executive Officer at 10 Design is to oversee the growth strategy globally whilst maintaining the highest design standards. This includes looking at new markets and sectors and tackling complex projects with commercially viable and creative solutions for our clients. The objective is to drive 10 Design’s brand to new heights competing with the best in class.

PAUL RODGERS
SENIOR DESIGN PRINCIPAL
Paul Rodgers is Senior Design Principal at 10 Design and has over 31 years of international experience in design and delivery of projects. Paul has worked in a wide range of sectors including commercial, residential, education, masterplanning and infrastructure-related projects, with particular emphasis on concept design and its implementation. He has spent over three decades designing projects in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North America.

Paul together with Design Principal – Gordon Affleck and their design team created and delivered the contemporary area of Al Seef, a regeneration of a half kilometer of Dubai Creek. This lifestyle destination, open in 2018, offers high-end boutique retail shops and restaurants and as well as two Hilton hotels branded as Canopy by Hilton and Hampton by Hilton.

Also recently built is his work for a rejuvenation of the urban realm around Dubai International Finance Centre. Soon to be added to his built portfolio are the two luxury residential developments for Al Barari Dubai (Seventh Heaven and Ashjar), both are near completion.

His projects have also been extended to Egypt for a 550 hectare Jefaira Seafront Masterplan and Architecture and Saudi Arabia for a number of high-end residential developments.

Paul also has extensive experience in design and delivery of education projects. He has led the design of numerous schools and campuses, most notably for the Queen Margaret University, the University of Edinburgh, the Robert Gordon University, University of St Andrews, and York University.

Paul has lectured and taught at the University of Dundee.

DORIS CHEN
MANAGING PRINCIPAL, CHINA

As Managing Principal, China at 10 Design, Doris brings good market sensibility and business acumen with more than 19 years of experience in the building industry. With a strong focus in China market, Doris has established a proven record of success in procuring business opportunities in the fields of urban design, architectural design, and landscape design.

Her expertise with Chinese customers is rooted in the comprehension of cultural differences and the awareness of the intricate balance between design and development objectives. Having collaborated with a large clientele of government bodies and notable developers, Doris is able to identify the circumstances and requirements of various development types to ensure the efficient work flow between design team and client.

Doris is committed to act as a liaison between 10 Design's outstanding capability and China's vast market capacity. She aspires to strengthen the bilateral dialogue by providing optimal business development solutions to foster a mutual vision.

CHRIS JONES
CHAIRMAN
As Chairman, Chris Jones is responsible for setting the vision for 10 Design and driving strategic growth globally, alongside the CEO, regional Managing Principals, and Design Principals.

With over 25 years of international experience, Chris has been fundamental in driving progress and success in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions, having served as Managing Principal for 10 Design’s studios in the area for over a decade. He has a track record of designing, delivering, and managing projects across all stages. From masterplans, mixed-use developments, residential and retail, to commercial, education, and civic. Throughout his career, Chris has forged close partnerships with a wide variety of clients, working collaboratively to bring their vision to life. 
 
Chris was a key figure in the strategic expansion of 10 Design's UK presence, successfully launching the London studio to complement the established Edinburgh office. This strategic move has further reinforced the firm’s presence and reach across the UK and Europe.

Having lived and worked in global cities like New York, Dubai, London, and Istanbul, Chris’ wealth of experience and forward-thinking leadership, will play a crucial role in solidifying the firm’s position as a thought leader and pioneer in the industry.

BARRY SHAPIRO
MANAGING PRINCIPAL, ASIA
Barry Shapiro is Managing Principal, Asia at 10 Design. He has over 32 years of experience and has been involved with the design and construction of major projects in China, Southeast Asia, the United States, and the Middle East. Barry has more than two decades of experience living and working in Asia including Shanghai, Singapore, Hong Kong and Jakarta. Barry is currently based in our Hong Kong Headquarters and responsible for overseeing the firms work throughout Asia. Barry has extensive experience carrying out projects from concept through to construction for a wide spectrum of projects including mixed-use developments, master planning, retail spaces, commercial headquarters, hotels, residential complexes, and civic buildings.

Marion Baeli
PRINCIPAL, SUSTAINABILITY TRANSFORMATION
Marion Baeli is Principal, Sustainability Transformation at 10 Design. Specialising in adaptive reuse strategies and low-energy design, she brings in over 20 years of expertise regarding the design and delivery of large-scale, complex projects that span the whole spectrum of housing as well as office sectors. 

She is a renowned author on low-energy design, recognised for her award-winning book on residential retrofits. Additionally, she contributes to the Westminster Council's Design Review Panel, serves as a frequent guest lecturer at London Universities (UCL, Westminster, Imperial College), sits on the board of the UK Passivhaus Trust and acts as an architecture award judge for both the  Architects’ Journal and Architecture Today.

SONJA STOFFELS
PRINCIPAL

Sonja Stoffels, Principal with 10 Design, has over 21 years of design and project management experience across Asia, Middle East and the UK. Sonja has managed and worked in a variety of large scale projects including offices, cultural and convention facilities, leisure and mixed-used developments. As a project designer and manager, she has covered design stages from concept, scheme, to detail coordination and construction. Her broad experience and skills have enabled her to bring in valuable insights in the realization of a project from a concept to a building, through the collaboration of work with the client, architects and consultants.

 

In Asia, Sonja is currently working on several projects in China including Zhuhai Huafa Plaza Mixed Use Development, Zhuhai International Convention and Exhibition Centre Phase 2, and China Resources MixC Market Hall in Shenzhen, to name a few. She has also managed a few other projects in China including the China Merchants Bank Campus in Chengdu and the Poly Business Center in Shunde which are now completed.

 

Apart from projects in China, she has also worked on the Al Seef Hospitality project by Meraas in Dubai, managing design and the day to day communications between consultants. Completed in 2017, the development provides two hotels and waterfront retails serving the booming tourism sector in Dubai.

 

Being educated and trained in the UK, her involvement in various UK projects including the Manchester City Art Gallery, Butterfield Park Innovation Centre, and the Hyde Park Serpentine Boathouse at her early years provided her a strong foundation in architectural design and management, which grows stronger throughout the years of her practice.

As Managing Principal, Jamie Webb leads 10 Design’s studios throughout UK and EMEA.
 
Jamie's 25-year career in the architecture industry has honed his expertise and equipped him with the skills necessary to drive innovation and growth in the region. His leadership and vision are invaluable in cementing 10 Design's reputation as a global architectural force.
 
Throughout his career, Jamie has demonstrated his expertise in delivering complex projects and leading multi-disciplinary teams to success. His impressive portfolio includes notable projects such as The Savill Building in Windsor, UK, which was shortlisted for the prestigious Stirling Prize and received two RIBA Awards; the innovative Kings Road project in London, where he transformed a high street retail store into a vibrant mixed-use workspace; and during his previous tenure at 10 Design, Jamie was part of the team on two high-profile projects - Al Barari development in Dubai, a mixed-use community that harmoniously coexists with nature; and the award-winning Zhuhai International Convention Centre in China.

DAVID PRINGLE
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

David is Director of the Architecture Line at Egis Group as well as Executive Director at 10 Design, Weston Williamson and SB Architects (part of Egis Group).  He has worked in Asia, the Middle East and Europe for more than 31 years, with extensive experience in the leadership and organisation of large architecture firms.

 

From 1993-2009, David worked for Edinburgh-based firm RMJM, and was responsible for operations consecutively in Manila, Edinburgh, Dubai and Hong Kong. 

 

David was one of the founding partners at 10 Design. Established in 2010, it is an International architecture practice headquartered in Hong Kong. As Managing Partner, David oversaw Business Development, Marketing. In 2017, 10 Design joined Egis as the first architecture firm to become part of Egis Group. David was appointed CEO and oversaw the integration process and developed close links with the Egis board.

 

In 2020, David worked with the Egis board to develop strategic development proposals for architecture in Egis, and commenced growth of the Architecture line: Weston Williamson + Partners, headquartered in London, with expertise in large-scale infrastructure projects joined Egis in 2022 ; and SB Architects, a San Francisco-headquartered design firm specializing in creating hospitality destinations.

LEONARD MILFORD
SENIOR DESIGN PRINCIPAL
Leonard Milford is Senior Design Principal at 10 Design. He is a British architect with over two decades of international design experience, graduating from the Bartlett School of Architecture UCL and Canterbury School of Art in the UK. He has been instrumental in the design and delivery of numerous award winning projects across a diverse range of typologies and scales, including one-off residences, urban transport infrastructure, stadia, and masterplans.

Leonard has lectured and been a guest critic at a number of leading schools of architecture including The Bartlett UCL, Westminster University, The Welsh School of Architecture Cardiff, Scuola di Architettura Firenze, and Tongji Architecture School Shanghai. He has also contributed to journals, radio and television, internationally over the years, focusing on ideas such as Celebrating the Local, Open Urbanism, and the uses of data and technology in planning and construction. Project awards include RIBA National & International Prizes, British Expertise Award, Civic Trust, BluePrint, and AIA International Awards amongst others.

Catherine Chan is the Principal of Marketing and Communications at 10 Design, playing a vital role in the growth leadership team. She oversees global communications and bid submissions, ensuring alignment with the firm’s strategic objectives across markets. 

With extensive experience in North America, Europe, and Asia, Catherine possesses a deep understanding of varied market dynamics. Her career spans real estate development and architecture, where she specialises in marketing, branding, public relations, and communications. 

Known for her strategic insight and leadership, Catherine adeptly navigates both Western and Asian contexts, leveraging cultural insights to create highly effective marketing strategies.

TED GIVENS
SENIOR DESIGN PRINCIPAL
Ted Givens is Senior Design Principal of 10 Design. With more than 25 years of experience, he has worked on projects ranging from 2.5 million square meter urban developments in Asia to beach houses in LA.

Ted's team has won over 30 design competitions in Asia, including two large competitions in South Korea recently won by the newly founded Miami studio, and numerous awards most recently a 2017 Cityscape Dubai residential futures award. Ted has had articles and projects published in the South China Morning Post, Evolo magazine, Mark, Boston Globe, and AD. His work has also been featured on ABC's Right This Minute, Bloomberg, the Weather Channel, and in the ARTE-TV documentary L'ARCHITECTURE CLIMATIQUE.

He has recently presented at 100% Design Shanghai, Archi Fest, Tongji University, and at the NUTAU Housing Conference in Brazil. He was a juror for the Asia Pacific Interior Design Awards 2017. Ted has taught masters level graduate architecture studios at Hong Kong University and at the University of Miami in 2019. He has been a regular guest critic at CUHK. He was recently interviewed by German Public Radio on how design thinking should be influenced by the probability of disaster. Ted recently taught two traveling studios in 2019 at the University of Miami, one with the University of Bahamas and the other with Suez Cap in Kuala Lumpur.

Research, design innovation, and collaboration are key drivers behind Ted's work. Recent explorations include a building skin that purifies the air, the Atomic Monticello, a collapsible/tornado proof suburb, and a famine resistant house/sustainable homeless community. A sustainable ultra-poor housing prototype is just starting construction in the rural Philippines.

KATE GEARY
PRINCIPAL, PEOPLE AND CULTURE

Kate Geary is Director at Egis’ Architecture Line, bringing with her a passion for people, culture, and diversity honed over 19 years of international experience in HR and talent management. Throughout her career, she has lived and worked in major cities in Sydney, London, and Hong Kong.

Kate completed her studies in Sydney, earning a degree in Advanced Science (Mathematics of Management), a Diploma of Secondary Education (Mathematics), and an Advanced Diploma in Business Management.

At Egis, Kate leads a unified approach to human resources across all firms within the Architecture Line, enhancing their ability to tap into a vast and dynamic pool of talent both regionally and globally. Her efforts are pivotal in fostering collaboration and sharing expertise across different geographies.

Prior to her current role, Kate served as Principal at 10 Design, one of the firms under the Egis Architecture Line. Joining the firm at its inception in 2010, she played a crucial role in its establishment and growth. Based in Hong Kong, Kate oversaw the international studios, managing all aspects of Human Resources globally and steering the operational management of the studios.

PETER BARRETT
PRINCIPAL, MASTER PLANNING
Peter Barrett is Principal, Master Planning at 10 Design and brings over 30 years of planning and urban design experience working in Australia and Asia with a strong focus on Southeast Asia.

Peter has a key interest in the promotion of design excellence and collaboration in the planning and design process. His diverse portfolio includes master planning projects and urban design studies for green-field and urban renewal sites globally with specialist skills in the master planning of city centres, mixed-use, residential townships, resort and waterfront developments.

Prior to joining 10 Design, Peter was Head of Urban Design for an international design company leading major master planning projects in Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Sultanate of Oman.

JASON EASTER
DESIGN PRINCIPAL

Jason Easter is Design Principal with 10 Design with 18 years of international design experience. He has provided design leadership for an array of projects throughout Southeast Asia, USA, Europe, and the Middle East.

His work spans a wide range of sectors including commercial, retail, mixed-use, civic, cultural, residential complex, hospitality and masterplanning projects where he has worked with the major local and international developers and government bodies.

In the past 8 years with 10 Design, Jason has been a key figure in the use of parametric tools within the architectural design process. He has focused this proficiency towards complex architectural geometries and facade design and development for several of 10 Design’s premier and large-scale projects.

Jason’s key projects include the Shizimen CBD super high rise mixed use tower in Zhuhai, China, which at 330m tall, was the world’s 10th tallest tower to complete construction in 2017. In the Dubai Bluewaters Island project, Jason led the façade design for the 10 Residential towers, 17 boardwalk townhouse units and 45,000sqm of retail and amenities podium facades. Subsequently, he led the concept design for the premier island’s feature mosque located on the adjacent plot.

Currently, Jason is working on the façade design for a large-scale gaming and resort development in Asia, where the design will provide brand identity for the new development.

Jason received his bachelor‘s and master’s architecture degrees from Washington University in St. Louis and The University of Pennsylvania respectively, and is a U.S. registered architect and member of the AIA. His personal and professional design work has been published in numerous print and web publications including Mark, Frame, PRC, BCI Asia Insight, Archdaily and AAS Architecture among others.

Krystal Solorzano
PRINCIPAL, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Krystal Solorzano's career in architecture started in design, but her affinity for storytelling and marketing's ability to communicate a firm's values and vision led her to shift her focus. She recognized the importance of creating a compelling narrative that resonates with audiences and drives successful growth strategies. 

Krystal is a firm believer in the power of collaboration between marketing and business development, recognizing that the two functions are intertwined and crucial to driving overall business strategies. Since joining SB Architects (now 10SB) in 2018, she’s been a driving force in shaping the firm’s direction. Her deep understanding of the industry and ability to think strategically have helped her exceed expectations and lead the firm to new levels of success. With a talent for collaboration and a keen awareness of global trends, Krystal has implemented initiatives that have enhanced the firm's growth and solidified its position as a leader in the industry. 

Her love for travel has taken her to three different continents, where she has embraced new cultures and gained a deep understanding of diverse environments. Principal
With over two decades of experience, Angela’s expertise spans both design and business development, overseeing various market sectors, and leading an office and studio. Throughout her career, she has built and cultivated deep relationships and trust with clients, consultants, contractors, and community leaders.
 
Angela has a proven track record of achieving strategic goals, positioning firms for growth and profitability, and ensuring high client satisfaction. Her global experience, and previous roles with KPF and SOM has refined her design approach, emphasizing culturally driven and program-oriented solutions. Her passion for multidisciplinary collaboration brings a unique dimension to her architectural projects. Some notable mixed-use projects in her portfolio include 415 Natoma, the New Beijing Poly Plaza, Poly International Plaza, The Bellevue, The Rise Master Plan, and Google San Jose Downtown West.

CHIN YONG NG
DESIGN PRINCIPAL, RETAIL

Chin Yong Ng (CY), Design Principal, Retail at 10 Design, has over 19 years of architectural experience throughout China and South East Asia. He specialises in the design and delivery for large scale regional destinations with a focus on retail.

CY and his team are developing the most forefront retail typology for China Resources to meet the fast growing retail market in China. In addition, he heads up the Architectural Interiors Team, providing a complementary approach to the current Retail Design Team.

He plays an instrumental role in winning international design competitions across China. Most notably are the Changde Waterfront Masterplan in Hunan; MixC Ningbo Retail Mall, Yao Jia Yuan Co-working Office in Beijing, Huafa International Gold Coast Garden; and Huafa Financial Island ICC Hengqin.

Prior to joining 10 Design, he led the design for a number of landmark projects including R&F Princess Cove in Johor Bahru, Malaysia; China Resources Dreamport Mall in Beijing; Horoy UniTown in Longhua, China; Huafa Zhuhai Open Air Retail in China; LVGEM Mixed Development in Shenzhen, China; and Excellent Meilin Mall in Shenzhen.

ZINA CHARMOKLY
DIRECTOR, PEOPLE AND CULTURE
As Director of People and Culture, at 10 Design, Zina Charmokly brings 18 years of international experience. She's dedicated to fostering a positive workplace culture, valuing diversity, supporting people, and leading strategic HR initiatives that enhance business performance.

Zina's academic background in Mathematics and Operational Research, a CIPD qualification from the UK, and her early career experiences in London and Dubai have given her a strong foundation in analytical and organisational skills. This has enabled her to effectively manage and understand the complexities of diverse, multicultural work environments.

In her role at 10 Design, Zina will continue to develop and implement the firm’s global HR strategy, ensuring smooth operations across its international studios. Her responsibilities include establishing new offices, promoting growth, and fostering inclusive workplace cultures that encourage collaboration and innovation.

Before joining 10 Design, Zina held senior HR roles at Patriarche, Aedas, and RMJM. In these positions, she led efforts to improve employee engagement, streamline HR processes, and promote diversity and inclusion, leaving a lasting impact on these organisations and shaping her approach to HR leadership.

Richard HELLIKER
Chief Financial Officer

With 20 years of experience in senior financial management, Richard has held top financial management positions in multinational corporations and consulting firms across the Asia Pacific region. His strengths lie in strategic planning, financial oversight, and engaging stakeholders.

Richard has a proven history of successfully leading complex financial transformations, driving business growth, and nurturing high-performing teams, all while emphasising safety and sustainability to ensure ethical business practices. As Chief Financial Officer, Richard works side-by-side with the group leadership team to create and execute solid financial strategies that support the company's long-term growth. His day-to-day responsibilities include managing financial operations, steering corporate strategy, and fine-tuning operational efficiency to keep up with the constantly evolving business landscape.

His credentials include being ACCA qualified and holding professional certifications in Environmental Management. His work in improving operational efficiency and profitability has earned him multiple accolades throughout his career, most recently at the MIA Impact Circle CxOs in Hong Kong.

Outside of work, Richard is committed to community service and sports, actively participating in initiatives designed to drive positive change.

REN WEN
ASSOCIATE PRINCIPAL
Ren Wen is Associate Principal at 10 Design and has over 17 years of extensive experience in leading design projects in Hong Kong, China, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

Wen has an in-depth knowledge of managing multi-disciplinary teams of large-scale complex projects from concept and schematic design stages, through to tendering and design management on-site. As well, she has a proven track record of winning international architectural competition.

Through her academic studies and research, Wen brings her unique insights of urban design and sustainability into her projects in addition to her architectural expertise. 

Wen is currently overseeing the design management and delivery of several key  developments in China, including the China Fortune’s 243,000sqm mixed use TOD destination in Nanjing, the CIFI Retail Mall in Kunming and Huizhou station convention center.

Prior to joining 10 Design, Wen has managed a number of award winning projects, namely the 460m Vincom Landmark 81 tower in Ho Chi Minh City, Hualux Hotel by IHG in Xiamen, the 5-star luxury Alila Resort in Lishui; China Merchants Bank Headquarters in Fuzhou, and China Merchants Securities Headquarters in Shenzhen, from design to completion.

JOSÉ CLÁUDIO SILVA
DESIGN PRINCIPAL
José Cláudio Silva has over 20 years of design and delivery experience. He has lived and worked in Singapore for more than 12 years, where he has led the design of projects in Singapore as well as the Middle East and other parts of SE Asia, including Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Philippines.

His design and masterplanning expertise spans a wide spectrum of sectors including mixed use, hospitality, civic, office, retail, residential, MICE, and integrated resorts . His experience encompasses all phases of a project cycle from concept design through to construction documentation and construction support.

A selection of his award winning projects consists SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, Global Tech Exchange in Phnom Penh, Noble House and World Capital Tower in Jakarta among others.

He has tutored at the Architectural Studio of the National University of Singapore (NUS) for 2 years and has continued to collaborate closely with the university by delivering talks and participating in critics sessions.

Phil Gray is a Principal with 10 Design. He has had over 25 years of professional experience with international design teams in the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and the US. These include mixed-use developments, masterplanning, residential, retail, commercial, education, and civic projects.

Prior 10 Design, Phil was an Associate Architect for both Europe and the North American regions for one of the largest international architectural practices and had extensive experience in the design, delivery, and management of projects across all stages.

In Europe, Phil has played a key role in the award-winning Lukoran Residential Villas in Croatia, the 55,000sqm Mavişehir Residential Development in Izmir, the Gap İnşaat Office Tower in Istanbul and previously the award-winning Varyap Meridian Development in Istanbul.

Phil has extensive experience in the design and delivery of hospitality and residential projects in the Middle East, including the luxury Seventh Heaven at Al Barari and the lifestyle destination contemporary area of Al Seef in Dubai.

In Asia, Phil has contributed to large scale residential, mixed-use and civic developments, including the 400,000sqm Bay Valley Science & Technology Park in Shanghai and a 1,600 unit residential and mixeduse development in Hangzhou and the Huafa Plaza mixed-use development in Zhuhai, China.

Other experience includes Gazprom Headquarters and Business Centre in St Petersburg and awardwinning vocational training campus redevelopments for Newcastle and Edinburgh Colleges in the UK.

MICHAEL GRIMSHAW
PRINCIPAL

Michael Grimshaw is a Principal with 10 Design in Hong Kong and has over 30 years of International experience in the design and construction of major projects in Europe, the Middle East, China, and Southeast Asia. He has been living and working in Hong Kong for the last 26 years and prior to this, in Paris for 4 years.

Michael has been leading the design, management and delivery of the firm’s key projects in the Middle East, China, and Asia, working extensively with major local and international developers and government bodies. His expertise spans across diverse sectors including master planning, mixed-use developments, commercial headquarters, residential complexes, hospitality, transportation, cultural and civic buildings.

Michael's key projects include Swire Properties’ Taikoo Hui Mixed-Use Development and Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Guangzhou; Cyberport Mixed-Use Development and Hong Kong Jockey Club Shatin Communications and Technology Centre in Hong Kong; The City of Dreams Integrated Resort for Melco/PBL and the recently completed Lot 3C Galaxy Integrated Resort in Macau.

Michael is currently working on Lot 4 Galaxy Integrated Resort in Macau and Julong Wan Mixed-Use Development in Guangzhou for Swire Properties.

Michael was educated at the University of Cambridge, UK and is a member of the RIBA and ARB UK.

ALEXEY GOLBRAYKH
DESIGN PRINCIPAL
Alexey Golbraykh is Design Principal at 10 Design with over 17 years of international experience and has developed the design and delivery of large scale complex projects across a diverse array of sectors throughout the Middle East, Asia, and Russia.

Alexey is responsible for some of 10 Design’s award-winning projects and competitions, including the Ashjar at Al Barari (2014 Cityscape Awards for Emerging Markets) and Jinwan Aviation City Cultural Centre (international design competition in the Jinwan Aviation City of Zhuhai - 1st Prize).

In the Middle East, Alexey is the design architect of the 360,628 sqm Satwa Gateway lifestyle retail and residential district, the 10,863sqm high-end retail development “Dubai Stack”, as well as the 132 luxury private housing project Jumeirah Open Beach Villas, Dubai, UAE.

Alexey also has extensive experience in the design and delivery of other hospitality and residential projects in the Middle East including the 5-star Le Méridien, West Bay Doha, Qatar; Citywalk Phase 4, Dubai, UAE; 10 Design’s Ashjar ar Al Barari, Dubai, UAE; and the Bluewaters Residential Development, Dubai, UAE.

In Asia, Alexey has worked on a number of large scale mixed use schemes, including office, retail, and cultural typologies, such as Shangdong Weihai Landmark Complex with 50,000sqm of retail space; the 42,339sqm high-end retail development COFCO Baozixi Retail Park, and Zhuhai International Convention Centre Phase 2 with 273,000sqm civic facilities for performance, conference & exhibition, office and retail spaces.

PEBY PRATAMA
DESIGN PRINCIPAL

Peby Pratama is Design Principal at 10 Design. He has worked with several international architectural firms on numerous design developments ranging from residential, commercial, mixed used buildings, and masterplans internationally including the Middle East and Asia. Being surrounded in a creative and fast paced working environment, he has developed an exceptional computation design and concept design skills.

Currently in Asia, Peby is the lead designer of the winning entry for the 950,000sqm Pingsha New Town masterplan competition, a 375,000sqm International Seacoast Garden mixed use development in China, as well as the 143,000sqm 4th Road mixed use development in Zhuhai, China which began construction by late 2018.

Peby’s South East Asia experience extends across Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore, designing and delivering numerous commercial and residential projects in the region.

KISHOR LAD
DIRECTOR

Kishor Lad is a Director at 10 Design.  He graduated from the Dundee University in 1989 and has over 37 years architectural experience in India, the Middle East, and Asia.

He has directed the management and delivery of over 85 projects throughout the Middle East and India.

Kishor played an instrumental role as Project Team Leader for a number of other highly acclaimed hospitality projects in the Middle East including Le Méridien, West Bay Doha, Qatar and two Al Barari Residential Developments in Dubai, namely Seventh Heaven and Ashjar; both of which are currently under construction. Another flagship development Kishor project directed was the Saadiyat Island development in Abu Dhabi including the Masterplans for Marina District - Central Core Area and the Cultural Canal Integrated Commercial and Tourism Community.


In India, Kishor has led over 2,600,000 sqm BUA of projects including Badshahpur IT Park, Virender Gram Commercial Development, Nirvana Country II Espace Premiere Villas, and Karma Lakelands Group Housing. His most notable built projects are the Kolkata Airport Integrated Domestic and International Terminal, which has been in operation since January 2013, as well as the Kolkata Infospace Park Phase 1 - 3, built in 2012. 

 

Currently, as Project Director, Kishor is managing the day-to-day coordination and delivery of the masterplanning and architecture design for Al Khobar Waterfront Entertainment Development in Saudi Arabia.

MATT BREMNER
PRINCIPAL
Matt Bremner is Principal with 10 Design.

He is a lead architect with over 26 years of professional experience leading design teams in the UK and Europe.

His work ranges from the design and delivery of large scale mixed-use contextual urban masterplans, award-winning bespoke office development, projects for the arts and culture through to luxury large scale residential and private house development.

His built work includes the new British High Commission Office for the UK Foreign and
Commonwealth Office in Colombo, Sri Lanka -shortlisted for the RIBA Lubetkin Prize, as well as the UK Embassy in Skopje Macedonia.

In addition, he has worked extensively in the delivery of major new contemporary projects in locations of major historical significance and prominence. This includes the multiple award-winning DMAG museum and arts facility located within the historic heritage quarter of Dunfermline, UK, and the luxury residential Donaldsons development situated within the context of Grade A listed Playfair Building in Edinburgh, UK, sited immediately adjacent to the Unesco Edinburgh World Heritage Site.

He has been responsible for the lead masterplanning design and technical design development of the landmark mixed-use Haymarket project, Edinburgh, UK, incorporating circa 350,000sqft office accommodation, plus associated hotel, car park, retail, leisure & public realm provision.

He is currently responsible for leading the design and delivery of the New Town Quarter project - one of the largest urban redevelopment projects in Edinburgh, UK, transforming an existing brownfield site with a new integrated mixed-used urban development incorporating 80,000sqft of office space and 435 homes of mixed tenure alongside health and wellbeing facilities, public realm and green space.

Eric Niemy
Operations Director, Asia

Eric is a qualified architect with over three decades of international experience in architecture and planning, with a focus on Hong Kong, China, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. His strengths are a broad balance of project management, office operations, and project leadership, as illustrated by his diverse portfolio, including commercial mixed-use and towers, retail, residential, hospitality, airports, and master planning.

His leadership extends through all stages of design and project management, as well as operationally in managing design teams, office performance, and contributing to business development strategies in challenging markets. With a hands-on approach and an intuitive understanding of commercial value, Eric is proficient at deploying solid business strategies that balance the design integrity, viability, and client ambitions.  He’s a resourceful problem solver able to effectively manage the development and branding of quality design firms in the international property landscape.

Joyce Lo is Director with 10 Design and has over 21 years of professional architectural experience.

With solid architectural training background gained from the Architectural Services Department in Hong Kong and internationally renowned architectural design firms, Joyce has involved in various large scale masterplans, hospitality projects, mix-used projects, residential developments, as well as a number of interior design projects.

Joyce possesses extensive experience through all stages of the design and construction process. She has participated in a number of award-winning projects ensuring high standards and quality are met. Her notable projects include the award-winning “Hong Kong Institute of Architects Medal of the Year Outside Hong Kong Award” for Mont Orchid Riverlet Phase II and “American Institute of Architects Hong Kong Association Merit Award”, “International Copper in Architecture Award’ for Yanlord Peninsula.

In Asia, she is overseeing a number of significant projects in China, such as the China Resources’ first flagship development in Zhuhai - Hengqin Wanxiang World, Hengqin Financial Island ICC Plot 17, Zhuhai, Huafa Creative Centre, COFCO Baozixi Park in Wuhan, China, and Jinwan Mall in Zhuhai Aviation City.

Javier Perea is Principal at 10 Design in Hong Kong Studio and has over 19 years of international experience leading the development and delivery of large scale projects across a diverse array of sectors throughout Europe, Middle East, and Asia. He has a strong technical background, a well-developed business sense, always challenge driven, and proficient in bringing together concept, craft, and construction.

Prior to joining 10 Design, Javier was responsible for the design and construction of Cultural, Civic and infrastructure landmark projects such as 40,000sqm CIDADE City of Culture in Galicia; 45,000sqm IFEMA International Exhibition Center in Madrid; 15,000sqm Cultural Center in Fuenlabrada; and 105,000sqm New Airport Terminal Building in La Palma.

Javier’s expertise also extends to include mixed use, high-end residential, convention and hospitality. A selection of his recent work includes a 225,000sqm high-end marina front residential development in Dubai, an International Commercial Centre in the Jinwan Aviation City of Zhuhai, China, and a 350 room five-star hotel with 80 service apartment units in Doha.

At present Javier is in charge of a 127,000sqm International Convention Center in Zhuhai, China, a 200,000sqm Mixed Use development including a 300m high tower in Weihai, China, and a 38,000sqm residential development in Dubai, UAE.

ANDREW MOWAT

Andrew Mowat is a Director of 10 Design Dubai with over 38 years of international experience in Design Consultancy and Project Management. Over the years, Andrew has lived and worked in the Middle East, the US, and Europe, where he developed an extensive network of professionals involved in design and construction, and is currently based in Dubai.

With his considerable experience in management and contractual roles throughout a wide range of construction projects, Andrew ensures that each contracted requirement is executed in compliance with the Client’s needs, statutory regulations and in accordance with the highest ethical standards. The projects include mixed-use developments, master planning, residential, retail, commercial, education, and civic projects. He has worked with a wide variety of clients, including international developers, private clients, government bodies, and universities and college trusts.

His current role is client liaison across all projects in the Middle East. He works closely with design teams to establish project direction and interfaces with clients and other consultants to ensure that project proceeds in accordance with clients’ goals.

As well as being a Chartered Project Manager and Chartered Architect, Andrew holds a Master of Laws in Arbitration and Construction Law.

He has spoken at various conferences in Europe and the Middle East on topics as diverse as ‘The Future of Building information modelling (BIM)’ and Building Contracts.

Gwilym Jones is Director with 10 Design. Over his 16 years of professional experience, he has led the design and delivery of numerous projects in the Middle East, Asia, and Europe across leisure, hospitality, commercial, and residential sectors.

With his extensive knowledge of design and project management, Gwilym can communicate the merits of the design, ensure thorough delivery of the design intent while meeting the overall programme and Client’s interests. He has a proven track record in large-scale project design delivery in Asia, most notably in Vietnam the Landmark 55 and SLUC mixed-use developments in Hanoi’s emerging Starlake Urban Area, as well as the prestigious Narra Residences in Ho Chi Minh City. In China, he has led the delivery of the Wide Horizons Clubhouse in Chongqing along with several other high profile hospitality projects.

At present, Gwilym oversees multiple significant projects in Saudi Arabia, including a state-of-the-art hotel and resort development, and a 30,000ha mega master planning project.

Prior to joining 10 Design, Gwilym was a Project Associate overseeing the design and management of multiple award-winning developments in London including the award winning 32 Great James Street, The Tileyard Creative Hub Expansion and the commercial redevelopment of Thirty Broadwick Street.

With an impressive career spanning over 15 years, Elsie has cultivated a deep specialization in Bid Management, Business Development, and Marketing Communications within the Architecture, Urban Design, and Landscape Design sectors.

Her experience has afforded her the opportunity to collaborate closely with clients, project teams, and global experts on a diverse range of tender submissions across the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Bryan Diehl
Director

Over his 15 years of international experience, Bryan has successfully led and managed the technical design, documentation and delivery of numerous projects throughout Asia and the Middle East. His diverse project experience spans from large-scale mixed-use complexes, commercial, hospitality to cultural and civic projects.

With a strong commitment to design innovation and technical excellence, Bryan has leveraged his detail-driven technical competence to ensure the comprehensive delivery of projects within demanding programmes. His proficient understanding on BIM and Revit workflows are also quintessential in leading efficient design process and cross-discipline coordination of complex projects.

Some notable project he has been involved in include the recently built Galaxy International Convention Center in Macau, Huabang International Tower in Guangzhou, Huafa Plaza Complex in Zhuhai, as well as The Star Performing Arts Centre in Singapore. In the UAE, Bryan has been a key member of the 40,000 sqm Al Seef Destination Development in Dubai. He has been extensively involved in the full design and construction programme of the Al Seef, which provides an invaluable asset of continuity of design knowledge for the practice. Currently, Bryan is leading a series of key projects in the Middle East, including a luxury residential development in KSA. He is also playing an important role in NEOM’s recently announced Epicon, and Norlana developments along the Gulf of Aqaba.

Bryan has been an integral part of the practice since the company’s inauguration. As Co-Chair of the Hong Kong studio’s Technical Review Committee, he also plays a key role in establishing technical standards, improving technical design abilities and operational efficiency of the studio.

Grant Wood
Director

Grant Wood is Director at 10 Design and has over 18 years of architectural experience across Asia, the Middle East, and the UK. Grant has been responsible for the design management and delivery of diverse projects across sectors, ranging from large-scale mixed-use complexes, sports, retail, residential to research labs and office campuses.

Grant’s experience involves all phases of projects from concept design and development, documentation, coordination and project management. Driven by a motivation to design inspiring and enjoyable spaces for all, he has deployed his exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to ensure the timely and quality delivery of projects, as well as the accurate translation of design intent into built reality.

Prior to joining 10 Design, Grant has gained invaluable experience in civic and sports architecture, notably as Lead Architect for Scottish Water’s National Operations Centre and Óriam’ — Scotland’s National Performance Centre for Sport. Grant’s experience also includes a multi-stadium project in the Middle East along with a new 12,000 seat multi-event arena in the UK, designed to be an iconic venue for sport and music events.
 
Drawing upon his prior experience in design development, building information modeling (BIM), and construction, Grant took charge of teams to deliver Jinwan Huafa International Business Centre and Jinwan Industrial Service Centre in Zhuhai, China. He was the lead architect on a local project for the Hong Kong Jockey Club and Peng Cheng Laboratory Phase 1, a new research and technology campus in Shenzhen.  Grant is currently leading the team on major design competitions in Asia and the Middle East while managing a large-scale retail development for Swire Properties in Guangzhou, China.

ANTHONY CHU
Director

Anthony Chu is a Director at 10 Design with over 18 years of architectural design and delivery experience. Working with international design teams in San Francisco, Shanghai, and Hong Kong, he has developed a rich architecture and urban design portfolio with projects in mainland China, Hong Kong, USA and Vietnam.
  
Anthony’s experience spans across diverse sectors including retail, mixed-use, transit-oriented developments (TOD), residential and adaptive reuse. Having led multi-disciplinary teams to work on all phases of large-scale mix-used developments, he is particularly well-versed in managing the precise delivery of design intent to maximize the commercial and social values of his projects.
  
As a design enthusiast, Anthony leverages his expertise to ensure balance between design innovation, constructability, and quality standards on each of his projects. He currently focuses on two major retail mixed-use developments in Shanghai and Wuxi for HongKong Land and CR Land.

Neil McLean, a Design Director in our Edinburgh Studio, brings a wealth of experience and a unique blend of talents to the table. As an accredited Passivhaus designer, Neil’s expertise lies in designing energy-efficient and sustainable spaces.

Before joining 10 Design, Neil honed his architectural skills at Atkins for 11 years, ensuring consistent design excellence across the North Region, from Manchester to Aberdeen. His earlier experience at RMJM, of 10 years, and before that at David Mikhail Architects, and Gordon Murray and Alan Dunlop Architects, laid the groundwork for his design philosophy, rooted in rational urbanism.
