The project is a one-of-a-kind luxury adventure resort situated among the striking mountains. The resort’s architectural design focuses attention on the unique, sculptural rock formations of the surrounding landscape.
A minimalistic, contemporary, desert aesthetic mimics the outside environment through the use of stone, glass, and wood elements in its interior and exterior designs. Buildings and gathering spaces are “hidden” among rocks and crevasses, and walls and ceilings made of large-pane glass, star-gazing canopies, and sky-lights bring the outside, inside. Additionally, because of the delicate desert ecosystem, an effort to minimize the resort’s environmental impact was paramount, resulting in a heating and cooling system largely managed through thoughtful integration with the geology.
